Job Description
The job holder is responsible for the collections of the receivable for an assigned portfolio of customers from a specific country and for support with performance reporting and reconciliations.
- As the Order to Cash team develops there will be requirements to perform some activities over a range of countries to ensure processes remain efficient, although responsibility for one country will remain.
For the countries within the country grouping: Perform credit management activities achieving DSO targets through cash collection
- Monitor and follow-up of billing issues on customer accounts
- Preparing reminder letters / faxes / e-mails and despatching as prompted by the accounting system (a collections management system may be implemented in due course which will help manage this process)
- Establish and maintain excellent business relationship with local regions to ensure smooth communication of queries and issues
- Liaise with the sales force with regard to orders and guidance on financial policies
- Using credit insurance systems and liaising with credit insurance agencies as required for credit limit analysis, set-up and maintenance
- Responsible for the hand-over of delinquent accounts to the credit insurance agency and follow-up trough the recovery
- Liaising with countries and customers where appropriate to resolve incoming queries.
- Customer accounting, including reconciliation of the sales ledger account, processing of bad debt write-offs
- Supporting reporting (such as days sales outstanding, bad debt reserve calculation, write-offs etc. with guidance from the team lead)
- Maintaining and improving data quality and integrity, continuously striving to reduce and eliminate errors

Candidate Profile
- Ideally a graduate of secondary school or University with Accounting/Finance background (not essential).
- High school diploma – mathematics, English required
- Practical experience would be valued more than qualifications
- CPA/Chartered Accountancy or equivalent Finance professional qualification or part qualified
- Fluent in written and spoken English and another European Language
