The position will responsible for value-added tax compliance and the related EU cross border reporting (intrastat and EC sales list). The successful candidate will posses strong interpersonal skills and will interact with internal and external tax and finance personnel in Brightpoint's US and foreign subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
- Gather data for monthly, quarterly and annual value-added tax returns.
- Gather information for monthly, quarterly and annual intrastat and EC sales list reporting.
- Assist with review of documentation required to support EU cross border shipments.
- Assist with review of prior year compliance for VAT and EU cross border reporting.
- Assist with value-added tax audits. Ø Assist with value-added tax research and special projects as required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years value-added tax experience; 5-6 years total tax experience.
- Background in public accounting and/or tax department within a corporate setting.
- Tax consultancy experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical and inter-personal skills are required.
